Ketamine
Other names: Ket, Special K, Vitamin K

Ketamine is a downer (depressant) but it can also make you hallucinate (make you see things that aren't really there). It is usually a white grainy powder that can be snorted or taken as a tablet. It can also come in a liquid form which is usually injected (THIS IS VERY DANGEROUS AND RISKY!). Ketamine is a powerful general anaesthetic used in operations where a person or animal can stay awake during an operation but will not feel any pain during the operation. If you use ketamine it can make you feel light and give you a floating feeling. In some cases you may not be able to move your body at all until the drug wears off.

Risks and Dangers
Ketamine can cause panic attacks and depression. Many people have serious injuries when they are on ketamine because they can't feel any pain and sometimes they don't know what they are doing.

It is also dangerous to mix it with other drugs as these increase the risks of becoming unconscious and in the worst cases lead to death.

Remember if Ketamine is injected you should NEVER share needles or equipment as you are at risk of HIV and Hepatitis.

The Law
Ketamine is a Class C illegal drug (see The Law page).

If you are caught with Ketamine on you then you will be arrested and you can get up to 2 years in prison and/or a fine. If you are caught giving it to friends or selling it then you get be sent to prison for 14 years and or a fine.
