Tobacco
Other names: Fags, Ciggies, Tabs, Baccy.

Tobacco is an upper (stimulant) and comes from the leaves of the tobacco plant. The plant contains a drug called nicotine which is highly addictive and gives you the 'hit'. Tobacco is usually smoked in a cigarette. Regular smokers say that smoking tobacco helps them to relax and feel less hungry.

Risks and Dangers
Smoking regularly can cause breathing problems, including bronchitis, coughs, lung cancer and heart disease. If you are a first time smoker or not used to smoking then you can feel sick and dizzy.

Smoking has been linked to amputations (arms/legs cut off) because it effects your blood circulation.

The Law
Tobacco is not an illegal drug however it is illegal for shopkeepers to sell tobacco or tobacco products (baccy) to anyone under the age of 16.
