Training to Professionals

Platform, the Leeds young people’s specialist drug and alcohol service, has been commissioned by Leeds City Council and NHS Airedale, Bradford and Leeds to deliver a workforce development programme to frontline staff working across Leeds to support young people and their families. Platform is currently offering two course which are free to attend;

1: ‘Alcohol Identification and Brief Advice’ training course 1.5 days

Aims and Objectives
Many practitioners have completed alcohol awareness courses before... but it is our experience that professionals always benefit from refreshing their knowledge in the light of changing trends around young people and alcohol use

2: Drug Awareness and Identification, Assessment and Brief Advice

Aims and Objectives
Many practitioners have completed drug awareness course before... but it is our experience that professionals always benefit from refreshing their knowledge in the light of changing trends and prevalence of substances!
